  • Nothing is more classic and elegant than our Victorian conservatories range. Inspired by historic conservatories, which reached peak popularity in Victorian times, these conservatories can blend seamlessly into modern or period homes, as their curved front design suits all sorts of properties.

Victorian conservatories aren’t just beautiful, they are practical too. They’re one of the simpler ways to add space to your home, and can be used to host guests, as a living or dining space, or somewhere to sit and enjoy the garden all year round. They also add natural light to your home thanks to their glass-fronted design.

You can add value to your home by adding a Victorian conservatory. Not only do they add some extra space, they are durable and practical, and can last for many years, so buyers tend to love homes that have conservatories installed.

At Kayvex, we have a huge range of Victorian conservatories available in lots of different designs, so you can find one that suits your taste. All our conservatories can be personalised in lots of different ways, from changing the frame materials to adding different glazing or decorative options. What is a Victorian conservatory?

A Victorian conservatory has a rounded, bay shape and is finished off with a pitched roof in either glass or tile. You can choose a three-facet bay, which looks like a larger version of a bay window, or a five-facet style for a more curved design, but with slightly smaller windows. Victorian conservatories sometimes have a dwarf wall along the bottom in brick, while other models have glass all the way to the ground. Why should I choose a Victorian conservatory?

Victorian conservatories have loads of advantages. They are perfect for period homes, and because the UK has lots of Victorian properties, it’s no wonder they’re such a popular choice. They have a pretty, ornate design that’s very traditional, but can work with both period and modern homes. Because they are classic, they also tend to stay in style year after year. Because they have a slightly curved design, you get a panoramic view of the garden. Many people choose to have them installed in a position that allows you to see the garden from all angles so they can feel like they’re relaxing outside even on freezing cold days.

What material can a Victorian conservatory be made from?

You have a huge choice of materials for building your Victorian conservatory. Because it’s made in the UK by Kayvex, you can choose options such as PVCu, which is affordable, long-lasting, and comes in many different colours and styles to suit your home. Many people are now opting for aluminium, which is very strong and allows for thinner frames, so you get a less obstructed view of the garden. While we do offer timber conservatories, these tend to be less popular due to the maintenance required. You may want to look at our range of PVCu conservatories with woodgrain finishes. They are almost indistinguishable from the real thing yet need hardly any maintenance.

Do many people choose Victorian conservatories?

Victorian conservatories have long been among the most popular styles of conservatory in the UK. This is because they have a beautiful, ornate design that’s classic and never goes out of style. They also tend to be low maintenance, due to the pitched roof ensuring there’s less build-up of debris on top. The Victorian conservatory style also tends to suit UK gardens, as it can be scaled to fit all sorts of outdoor spaces. These conservatories are also a good way of adding character to your home. They aren’t just a glass box; they add an interesting feature as well as being practical. Contact the team to find out more about Victorian conservatories.
